SEO on the Fly
The Best Way Websites Website Builder and Content Management System creates your on page SEO on the Fly!
There are two sides to SEO or Search Engine Optimization.
Inside SEO and Outside SEO
Inside SEO
Inside SEO is what you do on your own website. This could also be called "on page SEO."
Our CMS creates all of the necessary SEO elements automatically for you when you create a page.
If your primary method of gaining visitation to your website is not high page rank in the organic search engine results, then you probably don't need to do more than just give your page a great name, replace your default page image with a relevant image and write your page copy.
Site Wide SEO
Our CMS asks you for your Website Title, Description and Keywords as a part of your initial setup process.
These should be only the most generic and common keywords that you use for these three areas.
The CMS will give you a suggestion for the number of characters you should use for each. These are only general guidelines, but they should be generally followed!
If you discover or decide that you need to change these settings, it is super easy to do.
Page Specific SEO
Your page specific SEO is created "on the fly" as you create your individual pages.
When you publish your pages, our program will automatically append your site wide Title, Keywords and Description to your new page.
On Site SEO or Inside Search Engine Optimization Mandates
Our CMS "crosses every T and dots every I" to ensure that you've got great, on-site or inside SEO. The fundamentals are automatically done for you. There are more things that you can do and each one will add to the weight of your page for its keywords.
You may refer to the Page Completion Checklist (inside our CMS) while working on your pages. How much you add is up to you. If you want to do it all, follow these steps below.
13 Things to Do for Building a Great Page for SEO
Thing 1: Use "Spot on" Keywords for the Subject of Each Page (Title)
You need "spot on" names (Titles) for each of your web pages that include all of the most important keywords for your subject. It is not necessary to repeat your "site wide" or "universal keywords" for your individual pages. Our CMS will automatically append those for you.
Name your page using a concise keyword phrase that matches your best guess for what your website and page's target (searcher) might type in for their search query. Before you add the page, shorten your navigation title to just 1-3 words is best, especially if this page is first or second level navigation.
Thing 2: Include Your Subject (Keywords) in Your Page URL
Using our CMS, this is done automatically for you.
Thing 3: Be Sure Your Subject (Keywords) are in the Alt Tag for the Page's Main Image
Using our CMS, this is done automatically for you.
During your setup process, you were guided to provide a default image for your web pages. This image is typically your company logo. Whenever you add a new page, your Alt tag is automatically added to your default image, which is automatically added to your page.
Do you want the same image on every page? NO. Change or replace the default image with an photo that is appropriate for the page - one that matches your page content and helps to convey your message, but don't change the Alt tag! (The alt tag is the "title" of your web page image or photo).
Thing 4: Compose a Great Content Page
Now, write a great page! Your page has a title or a subject, so write some great content to cover the subject adequately.
How many words do you need? Simple. You need enough words to cover your subject completely. That could be 50 words, 100 words, 500 words or 2,500 words. If your content is long, add sub headings.
Thing 5: Outline Your Content like You Would a Research Paper
The CMS automatically created your page H1 (Main Heading). Leave this intact at the top of your page. It belongs there. As your page content grows, you will use H2 tags for your next level of sub headings, then H3 tags, then H4 tags ... all the way to H6 tags for an extremely long page.
Your page will, however, rank better if you have more (longer) copy, especially if the page has no or few links from other websites.
Thing 6: "Decorate" Your Text to Emphasize Keywords for Readers
Emphasizing your keywords appropriately using bolding, underlining and italicizing will help readers understand your emphasis.
If those words are present in your web page title tag, appears as an alt tag on an image and is included in your other site meta tags, search engines will also take note of this and your page's rank will go up as well.
Thing 7: Add Relevant, Optimized Graphics that Help Communicate Your Message
Our CMS includes a photo uploader that will automatically optimize your images for the web. Having images WITH APPROPRIATE ALT TAGS is an important aspect to on page SEO.
Having images that are large in byte size is a negative to SEO, because they slow down the load time of your pages.
Thing 8: Label Each Image with a Proper Title
Every photo that you add to your content pages needs an appropriate title that includes the keywords of your page.
Our CMS will not allow you to save a photo or image for a page without this image description or title (which generates an "alt" tag) being added first.
Thing 9: Back link or Up link each Page
Our CMS will automatically create these back linking or up linking structures for you and will include them in the page's navigation. In addition we have a plugin that enables you to embed sub navigation to link downward as well.
Thing 10: Revisit Your Page Keywords and Description
When you created your page, our CMS began this process for you. Now that your page is completed, you need to complete the process.
You've completed writing your page copy now, make sure that your keywords from your page are listed as keywords and that your description actually matches the main content of our page.
Thing 11: Double Down on Search Visibility with a YouTube Video
Youtube is now the #2 search engine. Lots and lots of people simply search youtube to learn about the products or services that interest them. Learn from this. Most Americans would rather watch a move than read a book.
They would also rather watch a video than have to read a web page, if the video contained the content for which they were looking.
So, give them both. Make a video that matches the content of your website, upload it to Youtube and then use the easy embed tool in the CMS to put the video on your website as well!
Thing 12: Add a Few Context Relevant Reviews on the Page
Reviews are also considered for your page's rank in search engines. Every business should have a reviews page, but why not add some reviews on pages where those reviews is most relevant.
When you use our CMS to add reviews, the appropriate markup is added to the reviews to ensure they are seen by search engines.
Thing 13: Double-check your Typed Copy for your Keywords
You don't want to start here, but you do want to end here. If you have listed keywords in your keywords meta tag, description and title of your web page, then those keywords should be showing up at least a few times on the web page.
If those words don't show up, you are misleading the search engines. Not a good idea. If your keywords listed are truly what you intended to be writing about, then shoot for 3-5% repetition of those keywords in the body of your web page.
If what you have listed as keywords don't actually "fit" the contents of your web page, then delete them.
Outside SEO
Outside SEO is all of those things that are external or not a part of your website that impacts your rank in organic search results in search engines. By very definition, the CMS which is used to edit your own website, cannot do anything outside of your website.
